Matchside Marrakech anyone? 🇲🇦
On a personal note (that nobody asked for), I am writing the newsletter from Marrakech this week where I’m on holiday. The other day I was strolling around the Gueliz neighbourhood when I stumbled upon the ATP250 Grand Prix Hassan II tournament at the Royal Tennis Club of Marrakech — the only ATP250 event in all of Africa!
I managed to sneak my way in to see a semi-final on centre court where the underdog Marco Trungelliti beat top seed (and world top 20 player) Luciano Darderi in front of a packed, and at times raucous, crowd. Time for Matchside Marrakech?
