Another week, another heatwave in London. And the football World Cup is heating up too as we move into the knockout rounds. Plenty of live sport to keep you out of the house (or in the shade) regardless: Wimbledon, Henley and the British Grand Prix are all still going, and we've got the T20 World Cup, a Broncos away day and some strongman action to get through. 👀 What’s on this week 👀
Some of the events I covered in last week’s email are continuing into this week, so I’ll do a quick update on ticket availability before jumping into the new events below.
🎾 Wimbledon, Monday 29th June to Sunday 12th July, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club. Underway now. The Queue and online resale are still your best routes in if you haven’t got tickets, with the full options covered in this ticket guide.
🚣 Henley Royal Regatta, Tuesday 30th June to Sunday 5th July, Henley-on-Thames. Watch for free from the towpath, or get enclosure tickets from £49, still running through to Sunday.
🏎️ F1 British Grand Prix, Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th July, Silverstone. Tickets from £379 for race day, so this is your last chance if you've been thinking about it.
And for the new events happening over the next week:
1. 🏏 Women’s T20 World Cup, Semi-Final 2: England vs South Africa (Thursday 2nd July, 6.30pm)
📍 The Oval | Tickets from £30
England are in the semis, so this is a big one, with the winner into Sunday's final at Lord's.
2. 💪 The Strongman Classic (Saturday 4th July, 5pm)
📍 Royal Albert Hall | Tickets available from £60 (verified resale)
Some of the strongest people on the planet going head to head indoors at the Royal Albert Hall. Something a bit different and pretty spectacular if you've never been.
3. 🏉 Rugby League: London Broncos vs Hunslet (Saturday 4th July, 3pm)
📍 Stonebridge Road, Ebbsfleet | Tickets £18
Worth noting this one's out at Ebbsfleet rather than in London itself, but still a Broncos home game if you fancy a fun trip out.
4. 🏏 Women’s T20 World Cup Final (Sunday 5th July, 3.30pm)
📍 Lord’s | Sold out, but you can join the waiting list
5. 🏏 T20 Blast Surrey Double Header (Wednesday 8th July)
📍 The Oval | Tickets from £33
2.15pm: Surrey Women vs Warwickshire Bears
6.30pm: Surrey Men vs Sussex Sharks
